Welcome!
This is the website for PinkCthulhu's second National Novel Writing Month attempt. I was a winner in 2003 with
'The Winds of This World' (which got finished in 4/05). The idea, if you're not familiar with NaNoWriMo, is to write
50,000 words of fiction in November. If you do, you win! (and yes, you win the coveted no-prize)
Guess what, I won! /cheer
Yup, I made 50k words on Nov 25 and today (the 27th) finished (no, not the novel, don't be silly) Book One of the novel,
and the interlude, which all added up to a grand total of 57,250 words. I imagine Book Two will be about as long, and
will keep me busy until next November. The title is now officially 'Dragon's Last Whisper', thanks to John's kind suggestion
in the interlude. Thanks, John. And I promise Galen is not at all miffed it's no longer called 'Galen's story.'
The main character is Galen Munro, a country vet, on the outskirts of a world where 'vet' means a person who treats everything
except the six major sentient species. In book 1, they have a little trouble with the local dragon. Book 2 will
be set a few years later in Juncture, the city at the center, where Galen will work as a medicomagical xenopathologist (kind
of like CSI for aliens and mythical creatures).
I'm pretty much posting the novel as I write it. So, be aware this is a rough draft and a work in progress.
Cheers
